Spelling
We have started our weekly spelling. Spelling and vocabulary lists go home on Monday in students' spelling notebooks. Students are to complete 2 spelling assignments a week from their black-out-boards. Assignments are due on Thursday. Spelling and vocab tests are on Friday.
Monthly Reading
Your child is responsible for reading 20 minutes a night. Each month I will hand out a reading calendar which should stay in your child's homework folder until collected at the end of each month. Please initial when your child reads nightly. When collected, the calendar will count as a reading grade.
Panther/Friday Folders
Your child's red panther folder will go home every Friday. It will contain graded papers and important handouts from throughout the week. Please return it to school every Monday.
Birthday Celebrations
       You are welcome to bring in treats/cupcakes for your child’s birthday. You or your child can pass out the treats during lunch. Please remember that we have a peanut free room and you may not send in items that contain nuts.
Class Goals:
Our class writing goal is to learn how to write cursive and to look words up in the dictionary.
Our class math goal is to learn how to multiply and divide.
Our class reading goal is to read chapter books and read independently.
Our class behavior goal is be a quality student.
Class Mission:
We will practice good behavior and read daily.
Class Vision:
Ms. Rowny's students will do their best work, be role models, and be caring.
